Am I really being that much of a bitch?

Ok, so here's the thing. I provided a TV for the apartment. It's an old TV with a scratch down the middle and only the cable adapter on it. This means everything has to be ran through the VCR. Rose brought one of those cheap red boxed DVD players. The 1st one blue screened. So we took it back. This one occasionally blue screens as well. So we figured it was the TV or VCR. Neither blue screen on anything else. Not while playing the N64(not ran through the VCR) or while using the Antenena/converter box (ran through the VCR) or while playing PS2 games (through VCR) or while watching Video tapes (... um duh the VCR).

Ok, onto the 2nd part of this tale. Kyle via Carly Baehr offered Rose use of his TV until at least Septemeber. Possibly until May if Carly/her suitemates didn't need it. No guarantees though. I was against this and told Rose it was up to her, but I probably wasn't going to store my TV for 2 months. For one thing, I'm still not entirely unpacked because well... most of the stuff left packed up is stuff from my younger years and I'm a pack rat. Plus, all the essentials are unpacked so what's it matter? At this rate I'm not sure I"m going to last here the whole year without finding a way to pay off the lease and go live in a cardboard box inside Walmart. We don't talk about it further.

I come home and Rose has accepted Kyle's TV. Still not guarantee about when we have to give it back. I ask if she wants me to take the TV to goodwill tomorrow. I don't get an answer. It's not actually going to Goodwill by the way, my little sister needs on so I'm passing it on to Roo. After finding that out (asked mom if she wanted it back) I tell Rose that I"m giving it away, check to see if we have a guarantee (we don't) and then tell her that I'm NOT providing a new one in September since I already provided one that was REJECTED. I'm not paying half (considering at this point we are NOT living together next year and I'm not paying for a TV for 9 months), I'm not finding a new one from family/goodwill and I'm probably not buying a new one. If I do break down and buy one, I will find a place for it in my room or something. She got mad. Made comments about how I SHOULD have room to store it since she's storing so much of her stuff (the glasses that didn't fit because she didn't put HER tupperware with the rest of it and the silverware she told me she didn't have so I went out and bought cheap shit). And kept throwing out that stuff (such as keeping the TV or not devoting an entire day to unpacking) was my prerogative. Like I somehow missed that?

So how about it? Am I being unreasonably bitchy? Should I give in and store it (there could be room, but I'm trying to reduce the amount of shit I have as opposed to increasing it)? Should I just not worry about it? Advice? Concrit? Slaps? All are accepted. thanks.

Summary: The memories were broken and old and all caught up in the joy of summer. They were all mixed up in drugs and dreams and broken hearts.

A/N: This is one of the first things I’ve written in a long time, and it’s not really meant to be a one shot, but… if I get a chance I’ll write more of this. It’s mostly based on one summer of my life, so bear with me. It might take a little while, weird memories and all. Um, you probably noticed this was un-beta’d, with the exception of the fragments, which are meant to be there, if you notice any screw ups feel free to let me know. Otherwise, as always, comments and concrit is always loved and appreciated.

Happy Easter

So, there are two ways I could take this. Either my Easter weekend got off to a damn bad start or a pretty miraculou one. I got a text message from my mom telling me that my brother, Brian, and his kids were all in a pretty nasty car crash. Luckily, as it turns out everyone is ok, on their side at least. The other driver, who I went to school with, died. The story, as I hear it from my mom, is that a driver crossed the center line and they intersected. The news made it seem more like he hit the other driver (which to me seems a little less likely. Not so much because my brother's a great driver or anything, but because I know... knew the other driver and I'm pretty sure she doesn't even have a drivers liscence. Not to mention she's pretty heavily into drugs and drinking and I know she's driven drunk several times before), but either way, there was an acident.

Luckily like I said, my family is mostly fine. Kris, the oldest, was perfectly fine. Sloan, the youngest (and sadly the only girl), was kept overnight for observations. She probably has a bruised lung, but they released her this morning. Currently she's at my house. Brian also had to stay overnight because they thought he had bruised his heart but then changed their minds. He fractured his hip socket. Skylar, the middle kid, is the most injuried. Luckily it's nothing life threatening though. He broke his femur, hand, and ankle. Plus he scratched his eye and messed up his mouth. He'll have his 3rd surgery for the leg on Monday. Poor kid, they just started spring break and he'll be in the hospital at least a week!

So, yay for Easter weekend. On the one hand, finding out your brother, two nephews, and neice have all been in a bad car crash is a shity way to start a celebratory holiday. On the other, the fact that they are all ok, despite the fact that it's doubtful seatbelts were used and with a mostly head-on collision? That's a pretty damn good bit of news!

Oh Baby!

I'm officially an aunt! Again! Kim had baby Andrew Lee (aka Drew... for the family refuses to call him Andrew... b/c his namesake was a bit of an ass!) today, at 11 something. I haven't managed to see him yet, but apparently he's 6 pounds (not bad considering she smoked and he wasn't due until April 2) and is perfectly healthy, but they won't be out of the hospital for a few days, because the hospital he was born at keeps you there for a bit anyway, and she had a C-section. But hey! I have a new baby nephew. And that's always good. Now I have 10 of them (2 nieces, 8 nephews) running around... Christmas will be expensive next year!
